Welcome to the New Germany Area. A prominent feature of our neighbourhood is the LaHave River running through New Germany, a rural inland community located in Nova Scotia.

New Germany is the centre of a group of communities in the upper part of Lunenburg County. There are approximately 30 communities who send their children to the rural high school in New Germany.

We invite you to explore our area through this site.

A brief history of NGAPS

New Germany Helping Hands
We are a small group of volunteers who provide assistance to people within a 15 kms radius of New Germany.
Primarily we deliver groceries and prescription drugs to those who have difficulty going to the grocery/drug stores.
We are also available to do other small chores on a case by case basis. If you are interested in obtaining assistance, please contact Cathy Joudrey at email nghelpinghands1@gmail.com or by telephone 902-644-1399. NOTE: All of our volunteers have Police Clearance Certificates and have received several hours of training.
